Cyber Bullying and Aliases in the Workplace: Not Acceptable!
August 28, 2009 – 4:19 amSocial media has many advantages. People are able to instantly connect, share their ideas and express their opinions.
However, there is a problem that has started to surface with this.
People are hiding behind the guise of anonymity. And are saying things that they would never, ever have the nerve to say to the face of the person they are disparaging.

This has been a recurrent problem with kids and teens in the cyber “school yards,” where bullies would take their fights online and post harassing comments on their victims’ MySpace and Facebook pages.
Apparently, some adults are a lot like children.
Recently, one of our former blog partners posted an entry attacking our parent company. That’s fine. Everyone has a right to their opinions, and as mentioned earlier, social media is a great way to express those opinions.
What astounds me is that the poster, or one of his readers, used an alias–the name of one of our company’s executives–to hurl insults at the company.
This is not acceptable behavior.
Representing yourself as someone else is identity theft.
And hiding behind someone else’s name to defame a company because you have an axe to grind is not only immature, it’s cowardly.
Say what you will. But take responsibility for it when you do.

I agree with your post. I use my name when I post. This is a useful site (http://www.workplacebullying.org/); the Workplace Bullying Institute campaigns to make bullying illegal.

representative for Letterman’s production company, Worldwide loose Pants Inc., said Friday that the relationships Letterman referred to “when discussing the matter on the Late Show predated his marriage” to longtime partner Regina Lasko. The couple, who have been together since 1986, wed in March. They have a son, Harry, 5. Long time partner is considered,as a already married and committed couple, breaching her trust to have sex with production member, his little member did wrong to his wife, his children and the employer who gave this Mr. Loose pant opportunity to get into places he not supposed to go at work.
Work place is not a comman ground where everybody who is adult could do what ever they want to do, we have rules ethics for excetly situation like this. Places of worship, work, where you have entry because some one trust you to keep your pants up. David must be punished for his action .
