Panel Discussion on HR and the U.S. Economy
November 3, 2008 – 4:53 pmWhat’s on your mind right now? Are you worrying about all the calories you ingested from “testing” your kids’ Halloween candy to make sure nothing is poisoned or contains razorblades? Maybe you’re thinking about who you’re going to vote for in tomorrow’s election. Well, no matter who you choose to vote for, one of the issues you’re most likely thinking about is how the candidates are going to fix the U.S. economy.
The economy has been the hot-button issue in this year’s historic election. The United States hasn’t seen a political climate like this since the 1930s. Hopefully we aren’t on our way to another Great Depression. And people are left wondering: What will happen with my 401K? Is my job safe? Should I save for retirement or for my kid’s college education?
You’re not alone in your concerns.
e-BIM knows how stressful this time has been. And, in our newest podcast, we talk with a panel of human resources professionals about the trials and tribulations going on during this economic upheaval. e-BIM’s panelists include: Kris Dunn, Vice President of SourceMedical; Jason Lauritsen, Vice President of West Asset Management; Fred Foulkes, professor of organizational behavior at Boston University School of Management; and Mel Kleiman , founder of HUMETRICS. The podcast is moderated by e-BIM editor Katherine Mehr.
Hopefully this will give you some clarity in these difficult times. Unfortunately, we can’t give you any help on who to vote for. But, if you have any extra Halloween candy, that we can definitely help you with!
